Artist Statement

My practice takes on the form of a pseudo-diary. Painting has become an impulsive tool I use to ruminate on impactful happenings in my life. During this process, my lived experience is dismantled and rebuilt, fabricating places that are not completely real nor entirely false. These semi autobiographical spaces heavily lean on themes of faith, alienation, love, and belonging, all with the intention of recontextualizing myself and uncovering a better understanding of how I exist in the world.
